تأهل تشيلسي بصعوبة إلى الدور ربع النهائي من مسابقة كأس إنجلترا، بفوزه على مضيفه بارنسلي (1-0)، مساء الخميس، في ختام الدور ثمن النهائي.

وأحرز تامي أبراهام هدف المباراة الوحيد في الدقيقة 64، وهذا هو الفوز الرابع على التوالي بكافة المسابقات لتشيلسي، الذي يمر بفترة جيدة على صعيد النتائج تحت قيادة مدربه الجديد توماس توخل.
