واصل مانشستر سيتي مستواه المميز هذا الموسم وتغلّب على إيفرتون 2-0 يوم السبت في ربع نهائي كأس الاتحاد الإنكليزي لكرة القدم.

وسجّل أفضل لاعبي مانشستر سيتي حالياً الألماني إيلكاي غوندوغان هدف المباراة الأول (84) مستغلاً كرة مرتدة من العارضة قبل أن يضيف البلجيكي كيفن دي بروين الهدف الثاني في اللحظات الأخيرة (90) بعدما كسر مصيدة التسلل.

ولحق مانشستر سيتي بساوثهامبتون إلى هذا الدور بعدما فاز الأخير على بورنموث من دوري الدرجة الأولى 3-0 اليوم أيضاً.

ويلتقي تشيلسي مع شيفيلد يونايتد وليستر سيتي مع مانشستر يونايتد في آخر مباراتين من ربع النهائي.
