ناسا تكشف عن صور لبراكين متوهجة بكوكب المشتري

أصدرت وكالة ناسا صورة مذهلة لقمر المشتري، تظهر بحيرات الحمم النارية المتوهجة على سطح الكوكب الاحمر.

وبحسب صحيفة “ديلي ميل”، أن الصور، التي تم التقاطها في يوليو، ولكن نشرتها وكالة ناسا هذا الأسبوع ، بواسطة مصور Jovian Infrared Auroral Mapper (JIRAM) التابع لمركبة جونو الفضائية.

براكين كوكب المشترى

تظهر الصور العديد من براكين آيو كأضواء ساطعة ، وبعضها ينفجر من نوافير الحمم البركانية على ارتفاع عشرات الأميال.

قالت وكالة ناسا إن مركبة جونو التقطت مجموعة أخرى من صور Io (تُنطق “eye-oh”) يوم الخميس (15 ديسمبر) ، والتي سيتم إصدارها قريبًا.

وصلت المركبة جونو إلى كوكب المشتري في عام 2016 بعد القيام برحلة مدتها خمس سنوات ، وسيستمر في التحليق بالقرب من الكوكب وأقماره حتى عام 2025.

وتعد المركبة الفضائية الآن في السنة الثانية من مهمتها الموسعة للتحقيق في الجزء الداخلي من كوكب المشتري.

فيما كان من المخطط أن تنتهي في فبراير 2018 بعد الانتهاء من 37 مدارًا لكوكب المشتري ، ولكن تم تكليفه حتى عام 2025 للقيام بمدارات 42 أخرى.
